Pair of carved timber site models commissioned by a client designing a new house

Linseed oil and carnuba wax finish, on a reclaimed timber sleeper. Surveyor's data was CNC milled from the stock to give an accurate topographic reference to hand carve to, before final sanding and polishing. Contrasting timber and an accelerated ageing patina differentiate the ground surface from two existing structures and the section cut lines.
